    Bumped ahead of the build so the version is baked into the bundle —
    building first and bumping after ships a dist stamped with the old
    version while npm metadata reports the new one.

    Not tagged yet: the publish is still pending 2FA, so npm does not have
    this version. Tag cli-1.2.1-beta.0 once it lands.
